Effective inhalation therapy

Breathing & Airways

Different forms of inhalation treatments are predominantly recommended when it comes to respiratory diseases. The remedial benefits directly correspond to where they are needed.

The dosage of medication can be significantly reduced compared to orally administered agents. Possible side effects can be reduced due to the lower dose and the rest of the body is less stressed. The use of natural remedies such as salts or essential oils offer great effectiveness with maximum care.

The supportive administration of natural antioxidants is also helpful in some procedures in stress therapy to support the overall effectiveness of the treatment.

These applications are particularly effective for treatment of chronic respiratory problems, allergies or after-effects of colds and respiratory infections.

Inhalation Types

  • Inhalation of natural healing water via nebulisers
  • Inhalation of healing water with the addition of medication
  • Oxygen inhalation therapy
  • Inhalation of salt aerosols in salt caves
  • Walks in nature’s own aerosols - particularly seawater and forested areas

Breathing easier — what guests typically notice

  • 2–3 weeks

    Recommended length of stay

Our physicians typically advise a 2–3 week course so that repeated saline inhalations and halotherapy sessions have time to loosen mucus and calm the airways.

  • ≈ 30% less

    Reliever inhaler use

Guests with stable asthma or COPD may report reaching for their reliever inhaler noticeably less often by the end of a full programme (indicative figure based on guest feedback; individual results vary).

  • up to 6 months

    Sustained easier breathing

Reduced breathlessness on exertion and clearer airways are commonly maintained for several months after a completed cycle when breathing exercises are continued at home (indicative figure).

The microclimate is at the heart of how we treat the airways. Inhaling finely nebulised saline and spending unhurried hours in our salt cave helps to thin stubborn mucus, soothe inflamed bronchial passages and ease the breathing of guests living with chronic bronchitis, sinusitis or stable asthma. We pair this with climatic therapy in clean mountain air and one-to-one breathing physiotherapy, so guests relearn how to clear their chest and use their lungs more efficiently. My aim is always that each guest leaves not only breathing more freely, but with a simple daily routine they can keep up long after they return home.
