Support your kidney, bladder or prostate – naturally

Urology

For over a century, Marienbad spa doctors have been treating urinary tract problems. Drinking the carbonated mineral waters from our Rudolph and Karolina Springs is proven to help the kidneys clean the blood. This gentle drinking cure flushes out the “sand” that could otherwise clump together into large, painful stones. Our cures are particularly effective for relieving chronic bladder infections and speeding up recovery after surgery on the prostate, bladder or kidneys.

Speedy recovery after surgery

Although drinking cures alone cannot dissolve kidney stones, they do aid recovery after a lithotriptic procedure. Drinking our waters also boosts blood circulation and immunity. Dry gas baths can help to heal surgical scars. And physiotherapy can strengthen abdominal walls or a pelvic floor damaged by surgery.

Caution: anyone with advanced kidney failure (or otherwise on dialysis) must avoid drinking cures all together. Please consult one of our spa doctors for advice on which of our therapies will be the most safe and gentle.

Outcomes you can measure

  • 2–3 weeks

    Recommended length of stay

Our urologists typically advise a two to three week course of mineral drinking cures and balneotherapy to give the programme time to take lasting effect.

  • 10–14 days

    Until urinary symptoms ease

Guests on our prostate and lower-urinary-tract programmes often report an indicative easing of urgency, frequency and pelvic discomfort within the first fortnight.

  • 6 months

    Sustained relief between flare-ups

The benefits of a completed cycle — steadier flow and fewer recurrent infections — may typically be maintained for around half a year, though individual results vary.

Mineral-rich drinking cures are among the oldest and most reliable tools in urology: taken as a structured daily regime, they help flush the urinary tract, may reduce the recurrence of stones and infections, and can ease the irritative symptoms so many of our male guests describe. At Ensana we pair these waters with warm balneotherapy and targeted pelvic-floor physiotherapy, addressing both the prostate and the muscles that support continence. Every guest is assessed individually and we set realistic, measurable goals together. Most importantly, you leave with a maintenance plan you can genuinely keep up at home.
