A dry saline microclimate (halotherapy) that eases the airways for chronic respiratory conditions.
Treatment at a glance
A session in an artificial salt cave (halotherapy). A halogenerator disperses a dry micro-aerosol of pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride into a quiet, cool room while you simply rest and breathe the salt-enriched air.
Guests with chronic or recurrent respiratory complaints — bronchitis, mild asthma, sinusitis or allergic airways — and anyone seeking deep relaxation and stress relief. Also used adjunctively for some inflammatory skin conditions.
Easier breathing, looser mucus and a calmer airway, alongside a marked sense of relaxation. Benefits build gradually over a series of sessions during your stay.
The halogenerator grinds pure salt into particles a few micrometres across — small enough to travel deep into the bronchial tree. The dry saline aerosol is mildly hygroscopic and lightly antibacterial: it draws water into the airway lining, thins mucus and supports the natural clearance of the bronchi, while the still, allergen-free microclimate calms airway irritation.
You are shown to a comfortable lounger in the cave and the session begins; no undressing is needed.
You relax and breathe normally as the dry salt aerosol fills the room.
You leave refreshed — there is no downtime or recovery period.

Frequently asked
Answers to the questions our guests ask most about this treatment.
It is based on the same principle — a clean, salt-rich atmosphere — but delivered in a controlled clinical form. A halogenerator produces a precise, consistent dry salt aerosol, so each session is reproducible rather than weather-dependent.
No referral is required. Our resident spa physician reviews your health on arrival and confirms the treatment is suitable for you.
Yes, halotherapy is often well tolerated by children with recurrent airway complaints. Please tell us their age when booking so our physician can advise.
