Lymphatic Water Massage

What is a lymphatic water massage

This particular massage concentrates on the upper extremities and is conducted in warm water using a very light pressure of water coming out from a special shower head. The therapist performs slow and fine movements with the shower head to stimulate the lymph flow from the arms towards the heart.

How a lymphatic water massage helps

The lymphatic system is crucial in draining toxins and bacteria from the body. This form of lymphatic massage improves the lymph flow in the upper extremities that may be restricted due to a previous oncological treatment or an injury to the shoulder girdle and adjacent lymphatic nodes.

Advisable for:

Lymphatic oedema of arms

Not advisable for:

Any inflammation of the skin, soft tissues or veins in arms, skin defects, hyperthyroidism, heart failure, unstable bronchial asthma or ischaemic heart disease or hypertension, recent skin transplants, epilepsy, acute thrombosis, shortness of breath, incontinence, psychosis, alcohol or drug abuse, menstruation, malignant tumours and blood disorders, incapacitation

Lymphatic Water Massage

  • What it is

A gentle underwater massage performed in a warm hydrotherapy tub, where soft, low-pressure jets are guided slowly along the body's lymphatic pathways. The warmth and rhythmic flow are designed to encourage lymph drainage and ease fluid that has settled in the tissues.

  • Who it's for

Suited to guests troubled by tired, heavy or mildly swollen legs, puffiness and sluggish circulation. Sessions are prescribed by our spa physician following your entry medical examination.

  • Expected results

Many guests report lighter legs, reduced puffiness and a feeling of relief after each session. Benefits tend to build gradually over a course of 6 to 10 treatments taken across a healing stay.
