Mineral Water Inhalation

What Mineral Water Inhalation is

Fresh mineral water from local sources with a higher content of mineral salts is inhaled in the form of aerosol through a mouthpiece directly into the lower airways and lungs. The mouthpiece is disposable so no transmission of microbes is possible in this way.

How Mineral Water Inhalation helps

The inhalation helps to dissolve phlegm, so that it gets brought up easily and the airways are thus cleaned. A series of inhalations is effective in treating chronic respiratory disorders, allergies and sequelae of acute airway infections. Additionally, smokers and people living in smoky or dusty environments may benefit from taking a series of inhalations.

Advisable for:

Chronic respiratory conditions (e.g. chronic bronchitis, rhinitis or sinusitis, bronchial asthma), frequent upper airway infections, smoking, smoky or dusty living environments, sore throat, dry cough, loss of voice

Not advisable for:

Acute respiratory infections with fever, cough and sneezing

Mineral Water Inhalation

  • What it is

A gentle 10-15 minute session in which natural mineral-rich thermal water is converted into a fine, warm aerosol and breathed in through a mask or mouthpiece. The microscopic droplets carry minerals and trace elements directly to the nose, sinuses and airways.

  • Who it's for

Often suggested for guests with chronic upper- and lower-respiratory complaints, dry or irritated airways, or seasonal congestion. Sessions are prescribed by our spa physician following the entry medical examination.

  • Expected results

Many guests report easier breathing, loosened mucus and a soothed, better-moistened airway lining. Benefits tend to build gradually over a course of sessions taken during a healing stay rather than after a single visit.
